WDTK News Talk Radio Detroit Streaming Feed

WDTK News Talk Radio broadcasts on both 1400 AM and 92.7 FM from Detroit, Michigan. Its programming is heavily concentrated on syndicated, conservative radio talk shows as well as some local talk programs and hourly network news updates.

WDTK originally started off life as WMBC in 1925 broadcasting on 1170KHz. Over the years the station has undergone a number of changes, including the move to its current AM frequency of 1400KHz and the addition of a cross-band translator station on 92.7MHz FM (W224CC). It’s programming format has run from one end of the spectrum to the other having started out as a religious broadcaster and then later turning to talk, R&B music, ethnic music for the city’s black community, urban contemporary, gospel and finally back to an all news and talk format after a change in ownership in 2004.

Promoting itself as The Patriot, WDTK 1400, WDTK features conservative talk radio icons such as Bill Bennett, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Sean Hannity and Michael Medved. It is currently a member of the Salem Conservative Talk Network as well as being an affiliate of Fox News Radio. It’s sister station, also owned by Salem Communications, is WLQV, a 50,000 WATT AM station broadcasting on 1500KHz. It is also located in Detroit, MI, and airs mainly christian talk radio shows. 

Broadcasting with 1,000 WATTS on 1400 AM and 250 WATTS on 92.7 MHz FM, the station mainly covers the Detroit metro area with its AM transmission having a slightly larger footprint at night. WDTK also offers a live, streaming radio feed available currently in HTML (Adobe Flash) or using TuneIn.Com, which is also available as a smartphone app.
